What's your passion? What is the one thing that if you had a gun to your head and had to choose, you would do for the rest of your life? Be sure on this one, it could very well end up being the start to designing a lifestyle you live for the rest of your life.
I'm a big advocate for passion, for doing the thing you're drawn towards and truly going in-depth and exploring it. Problem is, some people don't truly know their passion. That problem is why I want to help you discover our own passion, I believe every single person has something they were meant to do.
I don't think this is some pre-determined fate type of thing, but I do believe that with every person having their own ideas, interests and beliefs, that there is no single purpose for all people. It's because of these differences between us that each person will naturally find a unique single purpose for themself that develops from a strong passion.
Some people find their passion at 40 years old, and some people find it at 20 years old. However, there are ways you can accelerate this process and actively work to discover your passion.
The key for finding your passion is simpler than you might have guessed: try new things.
If you read about super successful people, you'll find they all say they love what they do. When you ask them how they found that one thing, they'll openly say that it wasn't always apparent. Instead, they each went through a series of experiences and activities that exposed them to what would become their future passion.
Just like these leaders, you've got to go out and have those guiding experiences. You don't have to try EVERYTHING, that'd be ridiculous. Instead, you start with your interests. What are the things you enjoy doing? Painting? Reading? Singing? Riding around snowboarding? Take those things and start to dive deeper.
The answer isn't at the surface, but as you work on developing new experiences, you can weed out what you really love, and what's just an interest. As you try new things, you will start to narrow down the things you truly feel passionate about. The goal, is to aim for the one thing you just can't stop thinking about.
For me, I'm lucky enough to have found my passion early on.
I remember sitting and watching commercials and analyzing them as they played in front of me. Why did they use these colors or this mascot or this slogan? I remember hearing about great companies and the deals and strides they were taking and getting excited about it. I remember starting projects with classmates,YouTube channels, group organizations and the like because we it was always exciting and fun!
I was clearly drawn to marketing and business and once I explored it more realized entrepreneurship really is my one true passion.
I found my passion because I dove in deep and found something I was constantly thinking about. You can too, it may not be business, but whatever it is you do find I can promise that following that passion will help you feel more fulfilled and happy with life.
I can promise that by being so passionate, and combining that with some hard work you truly can enter the elite in your field and find a way to make a living.
It all starts with diving deep, and finding what you truly love. Go out there, search for new experiences, engage in the things you already enjoy and find that passion so you can start living a life you love.
